This upcoming Comet continues to Wow professional and amateur astronomers alike. I was looking for a good finder chart to determine what part of the sky it would be visible in during sunset on Nov 28th and beyond and could not find anything yet. The comet will be visible in the early morning sky before the 28th and I am sure I will see it many times before it swings around the Sun into the evening sky, however I know I will be much happier observing this object in the evening rather than ohhh dark thirty (as in ohhh, I can’t believe I’m awake yet!). So I put together a little .Gif image to show Comet ISON’s path from Nov 28th through the end of December when most of the worlds attention will be on this “Comet of The Century”. The view here is from Santa Ana California and you can watch Comet ISON move against the background stars and watch how the Earth moves against the background stars also. I hope you enjoy!

Here is the Chart first for the Dawn Sky Nov 1st through the 27th. Comet ISON with Mercury and Saturn conjunction should be spectacular Nov 22, 23 and 24th, can hardly wait!
Here is the Chart for the Evening Sky Nov 28th through the end of December. December 28th Comet ISON may be truly historic as it is right by the Sun, with careful observation the whole sky near the Sun may be diffused by ISON’s tail. (Stand in the shadow of a building to be sure the Sun can not be seen, then view next to the Sun, but be careful as the Sun moves across the sky slowly so you will have to shift position, “do not”….. I repeat “do not” look at the Sun, don’t be that guy!)
